Kathryn Dolese

MSPT

For the past seventeen-years, Kathy has been a practicing physical therapist in Missoula, having earned her MSPT from the University of Montana. Much of her work is focused on general orthopedics and the treatment of sports injuries in both serious athletes and everyday exercisers. She also sees patient for the treatment of women’s health issues.

Kathy is certified in intramuscular stimulation (Dry Needling), which uses fine gauge monofilament needles to release trigger points in the muscle and connective tissue. In short, dry needling increases blood flow to restore tissue health, which reduces tension and pain. She has observed many good outcomes using this technique.

In addition, Kathy is certified in SFMA (Selective Functional Movement System) which is a comprehensive system of assessment used to classify movement patterns and direct manual therapy and other therapeutic interventions. It takes into account an individual’s unique movement patterns and deficiencies for the purpose of restoring normal function.
Kathy enjoys traveling, art/history museums, outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her family.
